| I took the Greyhound bus to Houston. Although I missed the bus at my first stop because of a little kid who was harassing me, I raced it to the Dallas station and managed to catch it. I then slept from Dallas to our one-and-only "bus stop." I took a snapshot on the road as we peeled out of there. | |||

| This was one of the two actual costumes in the contest. She was supposed to be the girl who pours hot water on the coals at bathhouses in Japan. (She used a word I don't remember to describe this.) Her costume has a one-piece suit underneath, and she originally had the straps up. After much persuasion from myself and others, she was finally willing to pin the straps under the towel to the give the appearance of nudity underneath. | |||

| Yes, it's a tradition normally to finish off a roll of film with the swag obtained at a convention. But now that I'm digicamming my con experiences, I can just take pictures of the important stuff bought. I got three Kare Kano graphic novels for $8 apiece. With an MSRP of $10, it was a pretty good deal. | |||
