| A-Kon is an annual anime convention that takes place in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex on the first weekend of June. One of the many great anime convention traditions is the obligation to take many pictures. Although this obligation is more heartily fulfilled at an individual's first several conventions, some interesting photographs still arise in the more recent conventions as well. A-kon 14 took place in June 2003. | |||

| My friend Jacqi enlisted me to help out at an anime convention in Houston run by her mother. I came on simply as head of analog gaming (there was very little), but, due to my nocturnal habits, I wound up becoming night manager for the convention as well. Being on staff didn't allow me time to take lots of pictures, but I've put up the few I managed to snag. | |||

| I returned to Houston in August, 2005 for a second year of small con fun. I had a much better time than I did at A-kon, mainly because I got to meet and hang out with new people. I was officially night manager this year, and I competed in the Scantily-Clad Cosplay competition, so I didn't have time to get a lot of pictures taken. Shelby helped me out by taking some during the aforementioned competition. | |||
